lyrics
Wide awake, moving straight toward the heart of it
Make me up, yeah I’m gonna be a part of it
Gonna make the scene, gonna join the crowd
If you can’t understand what I’m going through
It’s the beat of the street that I’m moving to
Wanna feel alive, wanna hear it loud
Get inside ’cause that’s where I wanna be
Oh yeah
Ticket paid, masquerade ’til the break of dawn
Hit the lights ’cause there’s so much more to see
Oh yeah
Make me blind, lose my mind, baby bring it on
Shake my soul, and I’ll never be the same
Oh yeah
Got you right in my sights, time to start the show
Count it off, let the night go up in flames
Oh yeah
No control, rock ‘n’ roll 101: go
Twelve ‘o clock, ready, set, and I’m out the door
Take the wheel, gonna get what I’m looking for
One shining moment, a state of mind
Don’t you dare touch the dial, that’s my favorite song
Turn it up, turn it up, I wanna sing along
Go faster, louder, leave the world behind
In the noise and the lights, yeah I feel alright
Lost in space, time and place, young and free tonight
Gonna move and shake, gonna scream and shout
Only know what’s enough when I’ve gone too far
One shot, burn hot like a dying star
Got a fire inside, gonna let it out

It's uncanny just how good Actors is at emulating that Post-Punk synth sound from my younger days.
Each listen just gets better and better. I feel slightly ashamed for not having heard this album until a few short days ago. modestwriggles
